1st – Engr. Moises Daruca Canete
Engr. Canete, a licensed electrical engineer and a Cebu-based businessman, is a veteran in the fight for family and life. A member of the Board of Trustees of Prolife Philippines for five years now, he is one of the founding members of Ang Prolife Partylist. Indeed, Engr. Canete has been a consistent advocate for truth, justice and the common good.
Engr. Canete finished his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Cebu Institute of Technology in 1984. After graduation, he worked at PHINMA and reached the position of product manager. He then established his own company, the Surge Traders, in 1998. From a small electrical manufacturing shop, Surge Traders has now grown into a stable manufacturing company that specializes in electrical controls for various industrial needs. Surge Traders is currently located at Ylaya, Talamban Cebu City. Recently, Engr. Canetey started research work and experimentation into the development of ‘Free Energy’ under the Europe-based Keshe Foundation.
Engr. Canete has been active in rebuilding communities which were affected severely by Typhoon Yolanda. He was one of the volunteers who helped in rebuild the Ormoc Hayag Orphanage in cooperation with Prolife Philippines and the Archdiocese of Palo. He has also been recognized as one of the Pioneering Formators of the World Apostolate of Fatima of the Archdiocese of Cebu.
Engr. Canete has various radio and television programs aired all throughout the Cebu Province and nearby provinces which tackles life, family, and political issues. If given a chance to become a lawmaker, Engr. Canete vows to advocate against corruption in government and advance legislations which are education, science, and technology related in addition and in connection with the core values and platforms of Ang Prolife Partylist.
2nd – Engr. Fritz Adenic Daulo
Engr. Daulo, a licensed civil engineer and an Iloilo-based businessman, is a well-known community leader of Ang Dios Gugma Catholic Charismatic Community in Iloilo City. Married to Ms. Nelda Reteo Janeo, Engr. Daulo has been active in the prolife advocacy in the different regions in the Visayas together with his family.
Engr. Daulo is graduate of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Central Philippine University (CPU) Iloilo City in 1987. His experiences include working at the Department of Public Works and Highways under the Project Management Office (PMO), DPWH Regional Office VI Iloilo City (1988-1992). He had also worked as an OFW in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as a Civil Engineer/Consultant of International Engineering Consulting Center (1992-1997). He is presently engaged in construction and supply business as sole proprietor/owner in Iloilo City.
Engr. Daulo had a regular radio program in Iloilo City aired all throughout Region VI entitled “Para Kay Kristo, Kabuhi Sang Tawo Sagrado, Jesus Is Prolife” (For Christ Human Life Is Sacred, Jesus Is Prolife). This radio program tackled about the sanctity of life and the preservation of marriage as an institution based on the teachings of the Bible and of the Church.
3rd- Atty. Jan Louenn Labisig Lumanta (Secretary General);
A product of the University of the Philippines and a proud Dipolognon, Atty. Lumanta is a tax and corporate lawyer, agricultural economist, educator, and an active young prolifer. Born in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte, Atty. Lumanta finished his elementary at the Dipolog Pilot Demonstration School as Class Valedictorian in the year 2000, consistent First Honors from Grade 1 to 6. During his high school years at the Zamboanga del Norte National High School, he was awarded as one of the Most Outstanding Student Journalist of the Philippines and the Most Outstanding Student Leader in Region IX, having served as the first Federation of Student Government President of Dipolog City. He then finished Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics at the University of the Philippines-Los Banos in 2008 and Bachelor of Laws at the Andres Bonifacio College School of Law-Dipolog City in 2013, graduating in the latter as Class Valedictorian. While working now as an Associate Lawyer at the Makati-based Mata-Perez & Francisco Attorneys-at-Law, Atty. Lumanta is also obtaining his Master of Public Administration at the University of the Philippines-Diliman National College of Public Administration and Governance.
While serving as Secretary General of Ang Prolife Partylist, Atty. Lumanta also serves as the Corporate Secretary of Filipinos for Life Family and God Inc. -a group of men and women working tirelessly in promoting, defending, and advancing the dignity of all human life in all its stages, from moment of conception to natural death; promoting traditional Filipino values; and advancing the culture of life and sanctity of marriage and family.
In addition to Ang Prolife Partylist’s platforms, Atty. Lumanta likewise vows to advocate lowering of income taxes, improving the agricultural and fishery sectors, and advancing quality education especially in the rural areas.
4th – Engr. Julius Ang Engbino, leader of Family and Life & a Businessman from Davao del Norte;
5th – Ms. Lareina Lea Manalang-Garcia of Prolife Philippines, Event organizer & strategic imaging consultant from the National Capital Region.
